Essay:

Some people say that “when people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success.” I do not integrally/ absolutely agree with this idea.

Nobody can deny that there is a close connection between success and hard work but I do not agree with the quotation that luck has nothing to do with success. Moreover, luck can help you work harder for the two reasons below.

Firstly, they are stories of luck. There were a lot of great inventions and discoveries that came by accident. One of the luckiest things in history is the discovery of Amerca. Columbus who found America on the way looking for India enriched his sponsors and changed history. Other story is Isaac Newton, a scientist who invented the law of universal gravitation with an apple falling onto his head. Personally, I think if there had not been these things, how we could have such great inventions nowadays.

Secondly, when people work hard, they have knowledge and experience. However, they will not succedd if there is no luck brings them to the right place to meet right people that help them can use their knowledge in an effective way. In addition, with the good beginning, people will be more hardworking to gain more success.

In conclusion, I think that nothing can replace hard work, but working hard does not mean that people are preparing themselves opportunity. Opportunity often depends on luck, they are hand in hand.

Essay:

Vietnam is one of tropical countries with warm, rainy and wet climate. It is the best enviroment for many kinds of plant to develop. From the beginning of human beings, the ancient of Vietnamese people knew to plant rice for food. Rice is quite suitable when tobe planted in Vietnamese climate so I would choose it for the most important plant in Vietnam. Rice not only is the main food but also contributes a great deal to the country’s economic and helps to promote other industries.

If people have time to go to Vietnamese’s countries, they can see hundreds of mile with rice and paddies like a green carpet. For thousand years, Vietnamese people feed themselves mostly from these fields. If people have chance to have a normal meal with Vietnamese’s family they can see that rice is the main food. People can eat everything but nothing can be eaten as much as rice.

Besides feeding themselves, Vietnamese manage to grow enough rice tobe the world’s second largest rice exporter, after Thailand. Exporting rice is an important part in the country’s economy. Having more money in turn will help develop other indutries.

With all the reasons above, I definitely believe that no other plant can relace rice in Vietnamese people’s life and economy.
